Do you feel like there is something lacking in your life?
One simple adjustment to your perception can change the trajectory of your day and how it unfolds.
Two people can be doing the exact same thing and have two different experiences.
Imagine walking outside and getting the mail from your mailbox.
One person is lost in their thoughts and concerns. Work and family to think about with 100 details to consider, the kids, the schedules.
The second person goes to get the mail but notices the birds chirping, the flowers in bloom, the sun and sky, the children playing outside and enjoying themselves.
One experience, two choices.
The second person is creating new neural pathways are starting to grow and transform their perception of life. The second person feels gratitude and relaxes their stress hormones.
The second person has more space to gain strength to work on changing their daily habits that create the urge to over drink.
Room is beginning to be made in the middle of this uncertain time.
Find the perception in your thoughts that you are abundant right now.
You have everything you need in this moment.
You and you alone get to chose what today will be like.
You are not at the mercy of your circumstances.
You get to create thoughts that help you cope with your current circumstances.
Think of 3 things you’re grateful for.
Send thanks to them.
Let the feeling of gratitude come from your heart and let it brings a smile to your face.
Imagine what ever you’re grateful for, even if it’s a thing in nature, or if it is not in front of you... Imagine it smiling back at you.
Do this for each of the three things you’re grateful for.
Gratitude works like a feedback loop.
If you give gratitude it will come back to you.
You are creating new neural pathways.
You are creating a new perception.
Begin to pay attention to the new things you’re grateful for in greater detail.
Make this part of your routine.
Pay attention to your daily activities.
Even the smallest of things you find you’re grateful for changes your perception.
And your perception changes your experiences.
No one but you have control over this.
