There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to solve a puzzle. I'm currently in the middle of working on one of the hardest holiday puzzles and it is causing more frustration than fun at times. But when I do find a few pieces that fit the reward is so sweet and it keeps me motivated to keep solving the puzzle. Do you feel the same with your drinking habit? You have momentum and good results for a while then you hit a wall an go back to the pattern of drinking that you're trying to move away from? What is the missing piece to the puzzle of stopping over drinking?
It's a managed mind.
If you're like me when I was over drinking, I used to be able to say no to a drink for a while but then would find myself slowly drinking more than I wanted to and then back to my usual daily drinking.
What did I do to solve the puzzle?
I stopped focusing on the action of saying no and resisting the urge.
I started focusing on my mind and the exact sentences, the quiet voice in my head that was fueling the habit. This new awareness took time to practice. But the more I focused on my mind the more my desire to over drink diminished.
I also needed someone who had been where I’ve been walk me through the tools. I needed someone who had been there and done what I was wanting to achieve help me through the times when my mind was going off track.
The tools are out there- and...
