Urges are thoughts that we have. Remember that THOUGHTS create our FEELINGS, our FEELINGS create our ACTIONS, our ACTIONS give us our RESULTS.
I want all of you reading this to literally sit down with pen and paper and write down all of the thoughts that you have to prevent an urge to have a drink.
This is a powerful exercise for everyone to do. It'll only take you 10 minutes, if that.
Here is my list:
No alcohol induces headaches
No alcohol sugary fowl breath
I can always drive
No blackouts! Amen to this one!!
Remember the great sex I had the night before
No passing out on the couch
No cramps in legs from dehydration
More productivity both in my personal life and business
Never tell a story twice because I can't remember telling it the first time
No more hearing my family say, "I know mom, you already told me that last night"
