Too Embarrassed to Talk to Someone About Your Drinking?

Updated: Jul 30, 2020

It took me over 9 months to tell my husband that I hired a coach and joined a group to help me stop over drinking.

  • Yes, I had a lot of shame!

  • Yes, I was afraid I'd not be able to stick to it and then have someone witnessing me "fail".

  • Yes, I kept the secret to myself because I was looking for an out just in case I couldn't stick to it.

Looking back at that version of me... I just accept her in that stage of her journey, and I love her for the courage it took to take responsibility of her life.

I can love her for not being "perfect" and just love her for who she is... every single beautiful cell in her body.

No judgement.

It sounds corny, but it's true, otherwise we wouldn't keep saying it.

Love will set you free.

You can be free, too.

Open your mind for the possibility even if it is messy and a curvy road.

If you need someone to talk to, I'm here.
